She would Rather be Beaten to Death than take any Shit (Halloween 2016)

I’m a little late but here are my photos from Halloween. I had so much fun with a simple SFX look this year! I went to my grandma’s to give out candy for her. A few kids were scared of me and it made me feel bad. Hey, kids scare me too! Haha

This look was supposed to be a Post-Apocalyptic Warrior(ess) look but I don’t know if that’s clear or not. I took inspiration from Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara’s Lisbeth) with “bleached” brows. I only put a little bit of white foundation in the front of my brows.

Halloween Vibes: Scars (Part 1)

I love SFX makeup but I haven’t been able to experiment with it lately. SFX is commonly used with liquid latex, grease/cream paints, and sometimes alcohol activated paints if you’re a pro (Along with a lot of other useful products/mediums)! I just went with simple scars because I want to just practice more than anything.

One of my favorite book characters is Lisbeth Salander from The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and I think I unintentionally made this look with her in mind. Of course, I’m not a bad ass. Haha I don’t have a Septum piercing  but I used a hoop.

Who Killed Elizabeth Short?

 Here’s another SFX blog post!

Nicknamed “the Black Dahlia,” Elizabeth Short was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 29, 1924. Twenty-two years later, Short, an aspiring actress, was brutally murdered in Los Angeles, California, her body cut in half and severely mutilated. Her body was found on January 15, 1947, in a vacant lot near Leimert Park. The Black Dahlia’s killer was never found, making her murder one of the oldest cold case files in L.A. to date, as well as the city’s most famous.”

This is my second attempt at doing “The Black Dahlia”, and i think it turned out a lot better than it did the first time.

Heart Breaker

I’ve been wanting to do more SFX makeup, and since I haven’t been writing much- this is pretty much the only thing I have to post to this blog.

Out of the last few SFX makeup looks I’ve tried, I feel like this one showed the most  improvement.

I wish I had some progress-shots but this took almost an hour to finish.  Enjoy!
